Interchangeable Flip Flops

I love flip flops and I will wear them all year until it snows.  Seriously, it can be 40 degrees outside but until the snow falls they are my go-to shoes. I probably have too many pairs… Soooooo why not combine a few? Every girl has black flip flops right? Maybe some brown and some white? Old Navy flip flops are cheap and a pretty good shoe to use for this tutorial. 2/$5 is a pretty good deal I suppose.

By the way, I am going to apologize in advance for the pictures… some of them are a bit rough because of the lighting. I will replace these.

Things You Will Need:

Glue
Velcro
Ribbon
Flip flips
Paper clips

Step 1:

Cut your velcro (and ribbon) to match the size of the straps on your flip flops.

Step 2:

Glue your ribbon to the top of the velcro. I used Mod Podge but you can use whatever glue you prefer. (I do not recommend hot melt glue.) Then, paper clip them together and wait until the glue dries.

Step 3:

Now you want to glue the bottom of the velcro to the straps and paper clip them in place until they are dry.

Step 4:

Once both sets of velcro are dry, layer them together and repeat as many times as you want for as many pairs of interchangeable flip fops as you would like.

Aww, so cute!

Hope you enjoyed it. 🙂
