This photograph was taken by Louis Daguerre. The image is of Boulevard du Temple in Paris, France in 1838, Louis was a brilliant artist and physicist. (Odd combination of careers, right?) He invented the daguerreotype photography process. Aside from being very old, this photograph is potentially the first to ever include a human being. Back then, image required a 10 minute exposure time so, all the people, carriages, and other moving objects would disappear. Yet, In this photograph, slightly left of center is a man who just so happened be sitting still during the shot because he was getting his shoes shined.
