DIY Tile Coasters

Adorable CUSTOMIZED DIY tile coasters! I chose to use glass tiles because I wanted an elegant look for my coasters but you can use whatever kind of tile you prefer. Ceramic looks nice as well.

Things You Will Need:

Tiles (Home Depot, Lowe’s)
Scrapbook Paper (Michael’s)
Clear Sealant (Karlon brand from Michael’s)
Adhesive Felt Tabs
Exacto Knife
Mod Podge
Paint Brush
Ruler

Step 1:

Measure your scrapbook paper to fit the top of your tile. I am making four coasters so I cut out four squares.

Step 2:

Brush the Mod Podge onto the tile. Make sure you cover the edges well. Quickly get your pre-measured scrapbook paper and adhere it to the tile. Press it down hard and run your fingers across the edges and corners to make sure the ends aren’t sticking up. Let this one sit for a few minutes until it dries.

Step 3:

Brush some more of the Mod Podge over top of the scrapbook paper. When you first layer it on it will be white but I promise it will dry clear. Make sure you get the glue along the edges and corners as well. Repeat this step at least 2 more times. Once it dries take your tile outside and spray the sealant on it. Let that sit for 5-10 minutes.

*Repeat steps 1-3 for the other tiles

Step 4:

Adhere your felt tabs to each corner on the bottom of the tile.

TaDaaa! Customized coasters! Thanks for visiting!

These tiles will be available on my Etsy page if you are interested in purchasing a set. 🙂

Happy tiling!
