Halloween is right around the corner and trick or treaters are ready for their candy.
Every year, the apartment complex I live in participates in trick or treating for the kids in the building and I always use it as an opportunity to get creative. This year, I’m aiming at the treat bags. Since I have a surplus of Halloween scrapbook paper, this was an ideal project.
It’s a really easy craft and doesn’t take too long. Although, I wouldn’t recommend taking this route if you’re going to be giving candy out to more than 20 kids. You’ll be crafting for quite a while.

Halloween Treat Bag Supplies

Step 1: cut your scrapbook paper
Measure and cut the scrapbook paper to about 6×8″.
Step 2: fold the paper into a cylinder
Create a cylinder with your scrapbook paper and tape it in place.
Step 3: tape the bottom of the treat bag
Pinch one end of the cylinder and tape it shut. This will be the bottom of your treat bag.
Step 4: fill the treat bag & seal it
Drop in the candy. I recommended mini candy bars, jelly beans, fruit snacks or other small treats.
Then pinch the top of the treat bag closed, but in the opposite direction of the bottom (in step 3). Tape it in place.
You’re done! Make a few more and you’re ready for parties and trick or treating!
