DIY Beaded Bracelet

I’ve definitely gone back to childhood with this one. I used to make “friendship bracelets” all the time. Most of mine were the old fashioned ones made with embroidery thread though. This one is more acceptable. Enjoy.

Step 1:
Cut your leather to about the circumference of your wrist. Cut the hemp to twice that size. Then thread them through your clasp.

Step 2:
Wrap your hemp around the leather about four times.

Step 3:
Wrap the ends of your hemp with tape to ease them through the beads.

Step 4:
Wrap the hemp under the right side of the leather and add your bead of choice. Wrap the hemp under the left side of the leather and add your bead of choice. Repeat this step until your bracelet is completed.

Add your final clasp and you’ve got yourself a modern-style bracelet.

Happy beading!

  1. I can’t believe it is so simple.
I have always loved rosewater, it is such a pretty fragrance,
especially compared to all of the chemically junk available.
I will definitely try this the next time my rose bush blooms.
Great tutorial, very informative, and fun.friendship bracelet
