I’ve been seeing these skeletons with flowers all over Pinterest and I had to make one! Mine won’t just be Halloween decor though. It’s going to stay up all year around.
A friend described it as macabre. I don’t disagree with that but still, I find it so beautiful! Maybe it has more to do with the vibrant flowers against the neutral skeleton body than it does with the topic in general.

DIY Floral Skeleton Supplies
I bought all of my supplies at Michaels, but you could get similar items on Amazon or at Joanne’s. Here’s are the exact supplies:
- Decorative skeleton
- Black rose
- Red rose
- Blue flower
- Purple flowers
- Black eucalyptus
- White sunflowers
- Cream pampas
Amazon supplies
- Scissors / wire cutter
- Decorative Halloween flowers (I love this bouquet! I’d use it if I was making another one.)
- Decorative skeleton
- Hot glue gun and glue
- Screwdriver (possibly)

Step 1: remove extremities
First, remove all arms and legs from the skeleton’s torso. You might need a screwdriver for this.
Remove the head as well.

Step 2: Hot glue flowers to the pelvis
Begin to pull your flowers apart and arranging them in an order you like.
Then, hot glue them onto the pelvis individually.
Layer the flowers as you go. Don’t forget the greenery!

Step 3: Hot glue flowers to the rib cage
Hot glue your flowers to the skeleton’s rib cage. Be sure you layer like you did in step 2. Greenery should be added in between flowers.
Keep adding pieces until you’re happy with the order.

When you’re finished, you’ll have something like this!
