Olga Kostina,a resident of the Siberian taigahas, decided to decorate her home with 30,000 plastic bottle caps (yes, that number is correct). She Made this beautiful design over the course of several years.
The Siberian Taiga is an area known for its natural beauty, but also has a population density of only three people per square kilometre. Olga enjoys collecting the bottle caps as a hobby to pass time, and when she gets enough she starts to decorate. Using just a hammer and some nails, and inspiration from traditional macrame motifs, she creates the detailed patterns. Olga plans to continue until every wall of her home is covered in a colourful bottle cap mosaic.
That is pretty inventive 🙂 Olga has my heart!
Well she’s spending her time doing something constructive. That’s always a good thing.
And something beautiful! I agree.
Yeah she must be pretty bored but it certainly is cheaper than anything else and I guess if she likes it than that’s all that matters.
Right!
Holy freaking crap. That takes some dedication. I like it though, it looks kind of like the house is covered with a giant sweater 🙂
That is exactly what I thought!
it’s a lovely thought that it’s built up over years… constantly growing art to live in. Wonderful! tfs 🙂
Sure thing, it was well worth sharing!
