I took a trip to Clearwater, Florida with family earlier this year. I saved a water bottle full of sand and seashells in hopes of making a fun craft in memory of the trip.
Unfortunately, I threw the sand bottle in my mom’s suitcase before we got on the plane and she took it home with her, which is about an hour and a half from my home in Pittsburgh. This past weekend I was able to get it back and start my beach craft project. So exciting 😀
Beach-inspired centerpiece supplies
- sand
- candle
- seashells
- glass vase
Note: I switched vases halfway through my project. I decided that I prefer the look of the square vase for this one, rather than the cylindrical vase.
Step 1: add sand
Pour your sand into the vase and shake lightly to even it out.
Step 2: arrange the seashells
Drop your seashells in right around the glass wall of the vase. Push some of the seashells into the sand for a more realistic look.
Step 3: add the candle
Place your candle in the center and light it.
This is such a quick and easy way to remember your beach vacations.
I did another beach memory craft a few years ago, and it’s still hanging on my wall. So, I keep the memories going.
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave them in the comments.
