What information we collect

The types of information that Make Something Mondays collects about you may include: Contact information such as name, street address, email address, and telephone or mobile number; Demographic information such as date of birth, gender, interests, state, country, and zip code; Location information such as your actual or approximate location; Usage, viewing, and technical data, including your device identifier or IP address. Make Something Mondays use “cookies” or other tracking devices which may collect, but is not limited to, the following information: demographic data, browser type, IP address, pages viewed, activity conducted on the page, and the timing of your visit. How we use your information

We never sell your name or give it away. If you fill out our contact form asking for information, we won’t subscribe you to our general marketing email lists.

 

Comments

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

 

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

 

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.

 

The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Make Something Mondays uses a list to maintain email newsletters to help communicate information about recent updates, upcoming events, general informational and marketing purposes. You can opt-out of these electronic communications at any time by following the instructions in our emails.

Advertising

We host advertising on our site. 

We may also embed content from third party sites, such as YouTube, and that content may include ads. While we try to minimize the amount of ads our embedded content contains, we can’t always control what third parties show.

What software we use on our site

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic to our site and how people interact with our site. At various times, we may use other tools to measure the efficacy of our marketing endeavors. The Google Analytics terms specify that no personally identifiable information may be collected.

Make Something Mondays site uses Google Analytics to collect information about your use of our website. Information is logged for 26 months. This consists of information your web browser automatically sends to Google, such as the web address of the page that you visit and your IP address. Google may also set cookies or read preexisting cookies. This information is stored on Google´s servers. Google uses this information to provide us with reports about traffic to our website and your visit to our website (such as the domain from which you access the internet, the web address of the website from which you linked to our site, the time and date of your visit to the web pages that you view and click through). Social networks

On our site we may enable you to access online communities for sharing information such as messages, photos, and videos. You may only share this information with persons of legal drinking age. Information we share

We do not share your information with third-parties or other users without your permission. If you opt-in to sharing your email address for periodic updates or related information, your email will be registered with us. You can opt-out of these electronic communications at any time by following the instructions in our emails. If you ask Make Something Mondays questions, we will follow-up to offer support. The Make Something Mondays site may contain links to third-party websites not controlled by Make Something Mondays or covered by this Privacy Policy. Opt out options

If you have already submitted information to Make Something Mondays and would like us to remove it from our records, please contact us and request removal of the information from our records.
