I recently read on Radar Online that Andy Warhol’s former apartment in New York is on sale for $5.8 million. At first I got a little bit excited because he was an artist. I always get excited about other artists. But I am not a huge fan of Andy Warhol. I don’t think that his Campbell’s soup labels and Marilyn Monroe diptych could persuade me to live in his townhouse. What do you think? Would you live in this Manhattan townhouse? If so, would you pay that much because Andy Warhol owned it at one point?
I would so live in a manhattan townhouse! Not because Andy Warhol lived there or even because its manhattan….. Just from photos I’ve seen of various town homes, they all look so fun! In particular, I like the lighting above the staircase and the striking blue color of that wall in these photos. I think it would be fun to live a chapter of my live in a home in manhattan and even more fun to have the money to pay for one of these and even more money to decorate one myself and yet more money to experience the seemingly freedom filled life style…. I’ve always liked New York…..
Have you ever been to New York? It’s an amazing city but very crowded. The only thing that I dislike about it is that everyone is always moving, always doing something. It would be awesome to live there and really experience it!
Yes, I have been there….. I love the constant movement and energy…..not the humidity though….
wow, for that amount of money id want to be out in the countryside with no neighbours! dont particularly like the decor and the lounge looks small
Haha, I can understand that. I enjoy the decor of the house but that wouldn’t be there after buying it.
yeah id have to change it, ive always rented and had mostly second hand furniture so if i had the money id go wild on making a place my own space and taste 🙂
I’m with you! You are an artsy person, I would live the see what you would do with a space of your own! 🙂
if only i had the opportunity! 🙂
Someday 🙂
Love Manhattan, but to live there …. no thanks, give me a nice penthouse in Chicago with lake view instead. Still I quite like what I see here.
So, maybe if this were in Chicago?
