Hi. It’s been quite a while, hasn’t it? I feel like I need to re-introduce myself or something. I promise I’m not abandoning Make Something Mondays, but it’s been a crazy 2 months. In short, my husband and I bought a house and moved, along with a bunch of other goodies. It’s taken a while to get packed, moved unpacked etc but, I’m back in action!
I have a great new lineup of craft projects! This week I’m showing you how to make some fun gemstone earrings. It’s an easy and functional craft project which, to me, makes the best ones.
Follow the tutorial below to make your own!
Gemstone earring supplies
- gemstones
- earring rod
- earring hooks
- jewelry pliers
Step 1: line up the gemstones
String the stones onto the earring rod. Leave some space at the top.
Step 2: loop the earring rods
Using your jewelry pliers, create a loop at the top of the earring rods like in the above image. Don’t completely close the loop.
Step 3: attach the earring hooks
Slide the earring hooks into the space you left in your loop in the last step. Close the loop.
You’re done! Plan a date night and flaunt your new, fun earrings.
Hope you enjoyed. Happy crafting!

Beautiful idea!
Very nice way to DIY and save money- those can be expensive to buy from a store 👌
Thanks! I’m all about frugal purchases. It’s so much better to make your own anyway because you can customize them however you’d like.
AND you never show up someplace wearing the same thing as someone else (how embarrassing!)
I never thought about it like that. Definitely a perk!
