DIY Wooden Beaded Bracelet

DIY Wooden Beaded Bracelet

I saw these cute wooden beads at Walmart the other day and decided to buy them. I was especially attracted to flowers. Since today is Memorial Day, and there will likely be teens and tweens in your care at some point throughout the day, this would be a great project to do with them. I used to make bracelets like this all the time as a kid. All together, I think I spent $10 and you could probably get 4 or 5 bracelets out of the bead kit.

Things You Will Need
Clasps
Cording
End fasteners
Wooden beads

heart clasp

Step 1
Stretch out your cording and cut to be a bit larger than the circumference of your wrist or ankle, whichever you plan to make your bracelet to fit.

Then, flip over one end of the cording and attached the end fastening. Loop that through the clasp so that it looks like the image above.

Step 2 (Optional)
When making beaded bracelets, I always wrap the end of the cord in tape to make the process go a bit faster. Just a little trick of you don’t want to fight with the beads.

Step 3
Start to string the beads through until you come about half an inch from the end of your cord.

Step 4
Repeat step 1 with the other end so that your bracelet is secured.
