DIY Bird Bath

My mom doesn’t typically enjoy making crafts. She would rather buy it. But she called me the other day and told me that she made a bird bath. I was so proud of her. Immediately I wanted to see pictures.

I’m not wild about flowers but, even I have to admit, that is pretty cute!

She found the tutorial on a site called Mami Talks. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Of course, she put the bird bath next to her beloved pergola with all of her other flowers.

Good job, Mom!

  1. Thanks sweetie. I love my flowers & my pergola. Hopefully soon it will be complete with pavers & my swing. Can’t wait!

  2. That”s very pretty but from a safety point of view, I am afraid my cat could jump up on that and catch the poor birds. Bird baths need to be a fairly large, shallow bath and set up high on a longish ‘pole’ so the cats can’t reach them…IMO – signed “an old biddie” to be sure!!! Keep up the creativity, it’s just ‘ace’!

    • Thanks for the input! My parents don’t have pets so it’s not a huge deal for them. You could always set up it high instead of on the ground. Or, yes, make a large shallow bird bath. I’ve seem some really cute ones on Pinterest!
