I love candles! If you have followed me for a while, I’m sure you are well aware of that. So, wanted to make some cute New Years themed candle holders. Since the January 1st is coming up quickly, I thought I would share this one with you. It is super easy to make and, if you’re up for spending some time with your (little) kids, they will enjoy this one too!
Things You Will Need:
Jars
Brush
Glitter
Paper towels
Mod Podge (gloss finish)
Tealights/flameless candles
*If you don’t put paper towels down before your start, you are going to hate yourself. The glitter goes everywhere!
Step 1:
Using your brush (or sponge), coat the inside of the jar with a thin layer of Mod Podge.
Step 2:
Before the glue dries, drop some glitter in the bottom of the jar. Put a lid on the jar and shake it up. You can always add more glitter if you want to.
Pour the remaining glitter out of the jar. (This is where the napkin comes in handy.)
Let the glue dry.
Step 3:
Drop your (lit) candle down into the jar.
Thank you dear Megan, this is a nice idea, loved it. Happy New Year, love, nia
Thank you Nia! Glad you liked it! Happy New Year to you as well.
Really looks awesome!! 🙂
Thank you very much! I love glitter…
Very cool … and looks easy enough to do. Happy New Year and thanks for 2013!
Super easy to make. It took longer to clean it up than to make it… Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Depends on how you look at it I suppose. Happy New Year to you! Thank you very much for 2013! I look forward to 2014 with you!
