My cousin got married this weekend. Congrats Becca and Joe!
I made this for them as a wedding gift. It makes a great centerpiece and memory.

Things You Will Need:
Ruler
Pencil
Exacto knife
Desired Text
A clear bottle
A color printer
Card stock paper

Step 1:
Get together some text. I used first Corinthians, lyrics from their wedding song, the location of the wedding, their names, etc. use words that will mean something to them.

Step 2:
Print out your text. Using a ruler and exacto knife, cut between the text so you have many lines. I wrote over important text with a pink pen for emphasis. You can use a color printer to color the text if you wish.

Step 3:
Wrap the line of text around the pencil in a swirling fashion.

Step 4:
Place all of your swirly text into your glass bottle and shake it up.

Ta Daaa! A lovely memory. You could go all out and write lovey dovey sentiments all over the bottle and add pretty ribbons if you would like. I prefer the bottle as it is. Enjoy!

  1. I came across your blog today and wanted to tell you I am a fan! I am the student that only received an “A” in art class because the teacher felt bad about spoiling my report card…..so, not my strong point. I have recently decided that in my second adulthood one of the areas I am going to concentrate on improving is my creativity…..and your posts give me encouragement because I believe I can actually create some of these! Thank you.

    • That is so sweet of you! I’m glad my blog gives you encouragement I believe you can create anything you set your mind to. I would love to see some of the things you create 🙂 please share with me when you finish.
