Thank You For a Great 2013

Welcome to 2014.

I promise I’m not going to go on about how I can’t believe it is 2014 already (because I can) and what a crazy year its been (because it hasn’t). But I am going to thank you very much for a fulfilling year. When I started this blog 2 years ago, it was an experiment. I thought for sure that I would run out of topics to discuss, crafts to make, and artwork to share. Silly me. That definitely hasn’t happened yet and I’m pretty sure it won’t be happening any time soon.

So thank you…

Thank you for keeping me on my toes.

Thank you for giving me motivation to post.

Thank you for giving me inspiration and information.

Thank you for having something to say about my work, crafts, and other artist.

Thank you for following me.

Most importantly, thank you for building a great relationship with me. I am thankful for each and every one of your blogs, personalities, artwork, skills, and relationships. I’ve made some great friends through my blog that I wouldn’t have made otherwise.

Because of you…

These were my most popular posts in 2013.

Top 3 Artists Posts

Leonid Afremov- oil Painter

Everyone REALLY seems to love this guy. I’m surely not questioning it either, because I think he is amazing! No matter how much other artists try, they just can’t duplicate it.

3 Year Old Artist Controversy

This one sparked a big discussion on and off of my blog this year, not only for a day or so, but for months.  Most people seem to think it was edited or something of that nature.

This post was so popular because the photographer is sooooooo talented. You won’t be able to stop looking at these…

 Top 3 DIYs

Surprisingly, 2 of the 3 DIYs were from 2012, but got the most attention in 2013.

DIY Hula Hoop

I assume that this DIY is so popular because of the weight loss method assocciated with hula hooping. Seriously, if your resolution is to lose weight, but you can’t run or do anything super intense, this is your solution. You can use it while watching TV or talking on the phone and it isn’t too strenuous. It is easy to make also.

I’ve always been fairly health conscious and I go to the gym on a regular basis, but there are days where I really want something less tiring. I used this thing 3 times a week for a month and my abs were more than visible. Give it a shot.

DIY Painted Mason Jars

This is one of my favorite decorative crafts. The jars were easy to make and didn’t cost more than $2-3 per jar. It adds a nice flare of summer to your house. I’ve really enjoyed these this winter when everything else looked dreary.

DIY Heating Pad

Seriously, this is one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. It is very easy to make and costs next to nothing. Because of my active lifestyle, my muscles tend to ache ocassionally. So, I just put this in the microwave for about 2 mins and it loosens up my muscles. Feel great!

Is there anything you want to see on my blog this year? A particular artist or a craft? Let me know in the comments! I’m starting my list for this year.
