Loving that graffiti! The red is so vibrant and the design is very compelling.
Gorgeous work by Chris Wood.
What a great artist! When you check out the website, look at his Twisted Princess Series. It’s very intriguing.
Everyone has hard days, and today was particularly rough for me. It’s nothing I can’t get over, of course, but the best way for me to cope is to lock myself in a room and draw it out. It’s like therapy.
I think I’ve been like that my whole life. Walking helps and so does talking about it, but nothing works better than doodling in my sketchbook. It doesn’t matter what I draw or what medium I use. The drawing really doesn’t even have to make sense (much like this one). It’s really about the emotion that comes out in it.
Give it a shot sometime. You might be surprised how effective it is, even if doodling was never really your thing.
I never share tributes but Robbin Williams is an exception. I’m sure he was the root of many creative endeavors.
In a few simple words, this is why I love art. Somehow, getting lost in your own work allows you time to think and become things you never imagined. Join us in the #onething project on Google+ and create something (anything) new every day. Use the hashtag! There are so many opportunities to create and to find yourself… or lose yourself. Whichever you prefer.
