DIY Fall Vase with Pinecones

diy fall vase with pinecones

Like many of you, fall is my favorite season. I live in Pennsylvania, and fall is the most beautiful time of year here. The oranges, yellows and reds of the leaves are gorgeous!

I always want to bring those colors inside so I made a fall vase with flowers of those same colors, pinecones, and orange fillers. It looks great against our blue walls too since orange and blue are complimentary colors.

Grab the supplies below to make your own fall vase. They would make great centerpieces or windowsill decor.

Note: I used leftover flowers from a previous fall craft project and I wasn’t able to find the same ones online. But I linked to some pretty sunflowers that would look great in this vase!

Step 1: add the flowers

It’s important to add the flowers first because you want to be able to control the look of the vase. You don’t want to have to shove flower stems in between the pinecones in the next step.

Step 2: arrange the pinecones

Strategically place your pinecones around the flower stems so that most of what you see is the pinecones. You don’t want your stems to be too visible.

Step 3: tie the jute around the vase

Wrap your jute around the top of the vase. You can tie it in a bow or weave it around to create a more seamless look. I chose the latter.

When you’re done, you’ll have this vibrant, colorful vase to put on your table or windowsill for the fall season.
