It’s tough when you don’t like having a lot of things in your house but you also don’t like to throw stuff away if you can reuse it. That’s the basis for the craft project. 

I have a few cigar boxes laying around that I’ve been thinking about upcycling for a while. This weekend, I finally did it. Wohoo!

It’s really easy and prob took less than 30 minutes. Want to try it? Keep reading.

Cigar box organizer supplies

  • Paint brush
  • Cigar box
  • Mod Podge
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Exactly knife and ruler OR paper cutter

Scrapbook paper sized for cigar box

Step 1: meadure and cut

Measure the sides of your cigar box. 

Cut scrapbook paper pieces to those sixes. 
Glue scrapbook paper to cigar box

Step 2: glue the paper to the box

glue your scrapbook paper to the sides of the cigar box.

You should have something that looks like this. 

When you’re finished, you’ll have a fun new place to store your tv, XBox and other remotes. 

You can even makes separators to better organize your things if you would. Use cardboard and glue for that. My box wasn’t big enough to need those, but they would make a fun addition.

  1. I have been collection cigar boxes for years. Maybe this will keep the remotes where they belong and not in someone’s pocket! lol Thanks for the instructions!
