Palette Knife Oil Paintings By Willson Lau

MyPainting
Isn’t this painting gorgeous? I love it. My boyfriend bought it for me recently and I can’t stop looking at it. (The above image is from the artist’s shop because I didn’t want to reproduce his work.) The artist’s name is Willson Lau and we found him on Etsy. One of the many reasons to check out the art on there. I’m not just saying that because I have an Etsy account either. There are many amazing artists on Etsy that deserve recognition. Speaking of recognition, I was not asked to write this post. I took it upon myself, with the artist’s permission, to post his photos and to promote his work because I love it SOOO much. Please check out his etsy shop when you have a minute.

According to his Etsy shop WillsonArt:

“Born in Beijing, China’s capital to a family of artists, Willson started drawing and painting at a very young age. He soon demonstrated his artistic heritage as he won lots of prizes and honors as an art student. Graduated with a BA degree from Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China (CAFA), one of China’s top art institutes more than fifteen years ago, he has ever since become a full-time painter and interior designer. Today, as an established painter, his works are collected internationally by worldwide art lovers from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Norway and many other countries. He usually uses a palette knife, painting in oils and using a thick impasto technique to produce bold strokes that add strength and texture to his landscape, cityscape and floral paintings. “
