Have you ever seen moss graffiti before? I’ve seen in on Pinterest before but I honestly thought it was all photoshopped… you can’t make moss gross like that. Making the photo in Photoshop would be so easy too, so I just dismissed that as the only option. Well, I was wrong. I was looking around on The Bored Ninja today and accidentally found a tutorial on how to make it. Now, that is exciting! Turns out, it is environmentally friendly as well. Read the whole post
DIY Glass Bead Bracelet
Pandora Look-Alike
Most women enjoy the Pandora bracelets. I like them also, but I am a rational human being and those beads are crazy expensive. That is not in my budget, nor will it ever be. My solution? I made my own, kind of. I found the materials at a hobby shop and was pretty apprehensive. I might be cheap, but I’m not stupid; I know that cheap jewelry tarnishes. No one likes that. Awesome Tree House For Kids… Or You
I Found a post on Eilas Photography’s Blog and thought it was inspiring, in a different kind of way. This married couple promised their kids a tree house. So, the father, apparently a creative individual, decided to put together this amazing structure. I’m not sure how long it took to put it together, or even if they had planned a timeframe, but it looks like there was a ton of detail and thought put into it. Read the whole post

Upcycled Book Art via Etsy
I found an Etsy shop today that makes upcycled book art. I got so excited! I know this is not a new concept; I have even tried making my own upcycled watercolor decor on old dictionary pages as a Make Something Mondays. I was excited because these particular pieces were awesome! Much more awesome (awesomer? That doesn’t sound right.) than the ones I’ve seen in the past. You should take a look at some of these. The Beauty of Abandonment

I can’t get over how eerie, yet inviting the seem.

How much money have you spent buying art? Really, I’m curious. I spend money on art and people ask me why I would spend money when I can just make it myself. That is a good point, but the reason I buy it is because I like to support other artists. There are some talented people out there, as my blog has shown you, that deserve to be promoted. They have to make money somehow, and the only way that is going to happen is if you buy their art. Read the whole post

Follow Me To…
Illustrations on Photography by Johan Thörnqvist
Johan Thörnqvist is a Swedish illustrator. He created the work by drawing on photography taken only with a cell phone. On the right is the original photograph and his manipulation on the left.
I love these illustrations because this is what I see when I look at an object or landscape. There is this part of me that spaces out and someone has to pull me back to reality. I love that Johan capture what his mind was visualizing. Read the whole post
