Girlfriend Covers Boyfriend’s Skyline In Sharpie Drawings

Sharpie doodles on car bumper

I’ve always wanted to draw on my car.

But I knew it would take FOREVER to finish it and I’m in impatient person so that never happened. So, when I saw these pictures and read the story (It’s 6 pages long, but totally worth the read), I wanted to share it with everyone I know.

This guy was looking to buy a Skyline but only wanted one in purple. He ended up settling on a silver version and intended to repaint it. Read the whole post

Catching Up On My #inktober Drawings

I said I was going to contribute an ink drawing for each day of October for the #inktober challenge. Unfortunately, I got a late start so I’m trying to catch up.  Here are my drawings for the week.

The Steve Mcqueen and crows in the cemetery drawings were requested. The rest were all in my mind.

I have about 3 weeks left of this challenge, so if you have any ideas for me, leave a comment! Read the whole post

Take the #inktober Drawing Challenge!

Take the #inktober challenge

So, I know I’m getting a bit of a late start here, but it’s October, which means that it’s time for #inktober. And I want you to participate.

What is #inktober?

#inktober is a challenge that artists (and non-artists) all over the world take to improve their ink drawing habits. All you have to do is pick up a pen and draw something once a day, every other day or once a week.

You don’t have to be an artist. Read the whole post

DIY Glitter Flats

DIY Glitter Flats

This weekend, one of my best friends is getting married. My other best friend (who is also a maid of honor) is taller and wanted to wear flats, but couldn’t find silver or nude. As a last ditch effort to get shoes for the wedding, we planned on making them. Well, she found shoes and got my hopes up, so I made my own silver shoes!

They were really easy to make and only took about an hour (not including drying time). Read the whole post

Some Of The World’s Most Creative Sculptures

When given the time, people can be SOOO creative. I’ve always been amused by sculpture because I’m not very good at making 3D art. I took some 3d modeling and paper art classes in college, but that’s about the extent of my experimentation.  Because of my lack of three-dimensional skill, I gravitate toward the people who can successfully accomplish those designs.

Earlier today, I found this post called 25 Of The Most Creative Sculptures And Statues From Around The World on Distractify and was so amazed at the talent and creativity that went in to each of them. Read the whole post

DIY Doodle Baseball Cap

DIY Doodle Ball Cap

Instead of doodling in my sketchbook today, I decided to draw on a pink ball cap I had. I thought maybe I would actually wear it if I spiced it up a bit. This craft is really easy to make, but it’s time consuming.

I like the results, but I kind of wish I would’ve done the entire design in black or just one dark color. I guess I’ll have to make another doodle hat now… Darn 😉

A few tips:

* Using the fabric markers are just like using regular markers. Read the whole post

Why You Should Draw Even If You Don’t Think You Can

Why everyone should draw When I was a kid, I was always drawing or coloring in those cheap yellow-paged, blue-lined notebooks. Surprisingly, there wasn’t anyone in my family that was particularly artistic that could teach me techniques or give me advice, so I learned by drawing what was in front of me. It was the perfect way for me to learn and it became somewhat of an addiction. Now, I realize that not everyone thinks they have the ability draw, and maybe you think I’m naive for thinking anybody can. Read the whole post

Make Your Own Wallet From A Paper Bag, No Joke

Who needs Dockers and Fossil when you can make your own wallet? It sounds ridiculous, I know, but it works.

Taiwanese designer, Mr Zhou’s wallet fell apart and instead of buying a new one, he decided to make his own. He happened to have a Starbuck’s bag on hand, so he improvised.

With an exact knife, ruler, the paper bag and some double-sided tape, he created a fully functional wallet with a pocket for cash as well as slots for credit cards. Read the whole post

DIY Dandelion Silhouette Painting

DIY dandelion silhouette painting

I’ve been seeing dandelion art all over the place, particularly on Pinterest, and I’ve been inspired by it. So I decided to make my own version. But I wanted something a bit brighter and with more than a solid background. So I decided to paint dandelions as a silhouette on top of a sunset background. You can use whatever colors you’d like for yours though. I like the variety in color.

Don’t be discourage if you’ve never painted before. Read the whole post
