Hanging Jewelry Organizer

jewelry organizer

I have a lot of jewelry but there are only a few pieces that I wear on a regular basis. Until today, that jewelry was stuffed into a jewelry box. That’s not always a bad thing but I constantly found myself untangling necklaces and digging for the second earring. So I decided to make my own hanging jewelry organizer so that I could easily find the things I was looking for. It costed about $25 to make and seems to work well. Read the whole post

DIY Matchbox Party Favors

matchbox party favors

You remember Jennifer, from Station Teen, right? A week or so ago, she asked me what I was making for my next craft for Make Something Mondays. We started talking about crafts and she gave me this great idea: decorate matchboxes with scrapbook paper and embellishments. Since she owns her own stationary and greeting card business, she offered to send me the materials I needed to make them along with a few samples so that I could make my own with a tutorial. DIY Valentine’s Day Themed Mason Jar Hot Chocolate Gift

Valentine's Day mason jar craftI love mason jar crafts; they make such cute gifts. So I decided to make a Valentine’s Day themed craft since the holiday is right around the corner. It was really easy to make and only took about 1/2 hour, if that. This could be a nice one to make with your kids, too!

Unfortunately, my camera card snapped half-way through, so the above photo is the only picture I was able to get. It’s a good thing this craft is easy to explain without a ton of pictures. Read the whole post

DIY Candy Holder From A Toilet Paper Roll

DIY candy holderOhh the things you can do with toilet paper rolls. There are so many crafts and I am going to add another one to the bunch. These candy holders are super easy to make and only take about 15 mins (if that). Can’t complain about the price either.

DIY Holiday Card

Holiday CardIt is amazing what scrapbook paper can do for you, in terms of design. This is one of the easiest Christmas cards that I’ve ever made. Some people don’t like the overt holiday cards with red and green decorations all over them, and I  have to agree. I like this one because it reminds me of the holidays but it isn’t an in-your-face design.

DIY Gift Card Holder

DIY Gift Card HolderSince gift cards have been the most requested item on wish lists for the past 7 years (according to Gift Card Exchange Day), I figured I’d make a tutorial on how to make your own envelope/holder. The scrapbook paper you can find to make these is way more exciting than the ones that come with your gift cards. And you can personalize them however you want, which is always a perk.

DIY Valentine’s Day Conversation Magnets

DIY Valentine's Day Conversation MagnetsI was walking through the grocery store the other day looking at the Valentine’s Day candy when I saw conversation hearts. I wrinkled my nose because I immediately imagined the chalky taste associated with them. I guess it depends on your taste, but I’m not wild about them. So, I decided to make conversation magnets for Valentine’s Day instead. They are useful and cute!

DIY Scrapbook Picture Frame

Live, Love, Laugh picture frame DIYI’ve wanted to make my own picture frame for a while. This one took about 20 mins and costs less than $10. Pretty good right? I’m going to be honest, I am not a huge fan of the Live, Laugh, Love phrase that everyone seems to adore so much, but the stickers were the perfect size for this particular frame. I couldn’t help myself.

DIY Gift Bow

DIY Gift Bow

Its November. One month from Christmas, and with Christmas comes gift giving. So, I thought I would save you some money and teach you how to make your own DIY gift bow. A few dollars for a bow that costs less than $.20 to make is a little outrageous. The best part about making your own is that you can create much more visually appealing bows that you can buy in stores.

I used tape in mine so that you can see where I’m using it. Read the whole post
