Home Sweet Home

20130323-155531.jpg
I drove home to visit my parents. This photo is a shot of the county I grew up in.

If you drive 20 mins outside of my home town there usually isn’t any snow. If there is any, it has started melting. Not here though… Somehow, it can be nearly 40 degrees and there will be snow. Not melted snow. Just snow.

But I digress… Check out that view. This is something I didn’t learn until after I moved away; my home town is beautiful. Read the whole post

The First Photograph of A Human?

First Ever Photograph of a Human Being boulevard

This photograph was taken  by Louis Daguerre. The image is of Boulevard du Temple in Paris, France in 1838, Louis was a brilliant artist and physicist. (Odd combination of careers, right?) He invented the daguerreotype photography process. Aside from being very old, this photograph is potentially the first to ever include a human being. Back then, image required a 10 minute exposure time so, all the people, carriages, and other moving objects would disappear. Yet, In this photograph, slightly left of center is a man who just so happened be sitting still during the shot because he was getting his shoes shined. Read the whole post

3Doodler: 3D Printing Pen

The Worlds First 3D Printing Pen that Lets you Draw Sculptures

The 3Doodler is the world’s first 3D pen. Yes, seriously! This pen was designed by a company called WobbleWorks based out of Boston. The company recenty launched a Kickstarter campaign to sell the new device. As you draw, the 3Doodler releases a special plastic that is heated but cools and solidifies instantly to form solid structures. What a great idea! The 3Doodler sounds like it is so much better than the available 3D printers. (Those printers take forever and are quite expensive.) Read the whole post

Twisted Disney Princess Artwork

This twisted Disney Princess art was created by Jeffrey Thomas. Jeffrey is a character designer, concept artist, and story artist residing in Burbank, CA.

This artwork is pretty amazing, mostly because I have an attachment to the characters. What little girl wouldn’t have? I know I spent hours and hours watching a rewatching disney movies. My parents can attest to this. I’m sure they would be perfectly happy if they never saw a disney princess again…

I really love the twisted disney princess concept but these may have ruin my childhood. Read the whole post
