DIY Easter Baskets

DIY Easter Baskets

My mom made the cutest Easter baskets for my little cousins and I wanted to share them with you.

Now, my mom isn’t particularly crafty, so I was very proud of her for making these. She said they were very simple, too, so if you’re looking for a cheap way to make Easter baskets, head over to the Dollar Store and grab the following items.

Things You Will Need:
Nerd ropes
Hot melt glue
A piece of cardboard
Grass for inside the basket
Any extras you’d like to add
Four boxes of candy (same size)

Step 1
Glue the 4 boxes of candy to the cardboard so it forms the base of a basket. Read the whole post

I hope you all had a great Valentine’s Day!! The above drawing is the Valentine I gave to my boyfriend of almost 7 years. He actually said this about a week ago and I thought it would make a cute card.

This is what we did yesterday and it was wonderful.

DIY Candy Jar for Valentine’s Day

DIY Candy Jar for Valentine's Day

If you couldn’t tell yet, I love pink. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I have more of a reason to make everything pink. My first victim? A very fun and easy to make DIY candy jar! This is one of those crafts that you never would’ve guessed was under $5. You can get all of your supplies at the Dollar Store except the Deco Pens (but you could also use Sharpies). You might not be able to find the knobs there either, but any craft store will have them just a bit more than $1. Read the whole post

The Best Valentine’s Day Cards on Etsy

I read some stats today claiming that an estimated $13.9 billion will be spent on Valentine’s Day this year and that there will be 180 Million cards exchanged.

Cards actually account for 52.1% of gifts given Valentine’s Day (stats assume that cards are given along with other gifts.)

I would’ve never guessed that.

I started looking at some cards on Etsy and found some unique ones that I want to share with you.

DIY Valentine’s Day Button Heart Canvas

DIY Valentine's Day Button Heart Canvas

I still can’t believe 2015 has started, and now Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Ugh. Time moves too fast doesn’t it?

I was contemplating my craft for today and thought, Wow, Valentine’s Day is only a few weeks away. I should make a craft for it. And what do you think of when you think of the love-inspired holiday? Right, hearts.

I found some burlap canvas at Walmart (surprisingly) along with red and white multi-sized buttons and decided that it would make a nice craft. Read the whole post

Christmas is almost here and I’m betting there are a few of you who haven’t put all of your decorations on your tree yet. If not, you should make these glitter Christmas ball ornaments. If you let them pour the glitter in and shake it up, they’ll love it! Read the whole post

Candied Pecans As Christmas Gifts

Candied pecans gifted for Christmas

Some people are really hard to buy Christmas gifts for. There is one such person on my list this year and I’ve scoured the internet looking for a good idea. Nothing.

Later, while sulking on Pinterest I found this really great recipe for candied pecans on Paint Chips and Frosting (it’s a neat blog so take some time to check it out if you head over there). If you know me, you know that I’ll only cook if I have to so, naturally, I was a little apprehensive about trying to make these. Read the whole post

Christmas Gift Ideas for Him 2014

I’ve always hated buying people gift cards. It’s not that dislike receiving them, but it’s like saying I really have no idea what you like so here’s a gift card. If that person is important enough for you to buy something for, then you should have an idea of what they enjoy. Soooo I’m here to help you out.

I’m a big fan of Etsy so you’ll see a lot of ideas from that site. Read the whole post
