Toilet paper in plastic is ugly, right? I think we can all agree on that. We can’t make the TP look better so my plan is to make the presentation look better. For this DIY project I made a TP holder for the bathroom. Since my bathroom is mostly green and blue I chose a striped green and blue scrapbook paper. You can use whatever you would like, but make sure the paper is thin. No card stock for this one. Read the whole post

I <3 Photoshop. Seriously, it is a problem. So, when I found all of these grunge tutorials on the Template Monster Blog I was pretty excited. I probably won’t ever use them, but you never know. You can learn a lot from tutorials. Oh, there are 44 tutorials for grunge effects on this page… just to give you a bit more motivation.

Hotel Silken Puerta America in Madrid, Spain is a unique hotel designed by many artists and architects working together. The goal was to develop a “neverbeen- attempted-before project that has brought together nineteen of the top architecture and design studios in the world from thirteen different countries”.
Each level (12 stories) was designed by a different artist.
Each floor exhibits a different concept in hotel rooms.

I used to make these all the time when I was a teenager. It is a quick project, especially to do with kids. You don’t need many materials and it can be a good group project.
Things You Will Need:
Scissors
4-6 Yards of fabric (total)
*Pick out 2 fleece fabrics: 2-3 yards each, depending on the size of blanket you want. One fabric should have a design and the other should be solid. Read the whole post
You guys remember Javier? He started a journey across the US (from Virginia Beach to California) to promote love, tolerance, and awareness of his fellow men and women. In order to show this, he is going to take 196 days to walk across America. Why 196 days? Because there are 196 countries in the world and he is going to wear a shirt displaying a flag from one of those countries each day.
