A couple of days ago, we launched a photo contest in which you could submit a photo of how upcoming holidays are celebrated in your city. For those who have participated, thank you for taking the time to shoot the photots and sending them to us. We’ve received hundreds of pictures from all over the world and we have to be honest and say that it was really hard to pick only ten winners!
Swirly letters are fun to make! It is a very simple process but takes a while. This one took me about an hour and a half.
Things you will need:
Scissors and/or exacto knife
3 pieces of colored construction Paper
A white sheet of paper
A black sheet of paper
hot melt glue

Step 1:
Take your 3 pieces of colored construction paper and cut them into small strips. You can choose to keep them the same width or vary them as I have done. Read the whole post
I watched The Smurfs (2011) movie yesterday. I used to watch this cartoon all the time and this is the first time I’ve seen it since I was young. I love this movie! Peyo was a genius!

Thanks to searching through tracilee.wordpress.com’s blog I found an article called “Dear Me: A Letter to my 16 Year Old Self”. I thought it was a great idea. As a teenager I was much different than I am now and if I could go back and tell myself that when I was somewhere between 13 and 16 I would.

This is my latest. A coworker of my Mom’s asked if I would draw his family photo. So I added in the flowers they are wearing in the photo and placed them in a shadow box for a memoir effect.
Read the whole postI hate throwing away Christmas Cards. Every year I receive these Beautiful Christmas/Holiday cards and every year I have to throw them away. Well, this year, I am keeping all of them because I found a way to reuse them.
I am going to make a holiday card ornament that I can hang on my tree with all of my lights and tinsel.

Hole puncher (or a small candle/votive holder 1-2 inches in diameter)
glue (hot melt or craft glue stick)
