I was thinking about Valentine’s Day. What is something practical that I would want on this holiday? I would like hand warmers because I don’t like to be cold. I’ll make them BLUE heart-shaped hand warmers 😀

Rice
Fabric
Needle
Thread

Cut two pieces of fabric into identical heart shapes.

A Look At My Sketchbook


I don’t do this much. No, I actually never do this. I am going to show you my sketchbooks from before I graduated from high school. Scary right? Some of these drawings are from 7th grade. I was a strange kid, so don’t judge, haha.

Have you ever been to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah? Me either, but I think I have a pretty good idea of how amazing the view is thanks to Utah3d. This site is pretty neat. Panoramas are taken (by Martin van Hemert), uploaded, and viewed as 3D images. So basically, when you click the Utah3d link up there, a window will open up with a large view of the Salt Flats in Utah. You can then drag the image around and you get a 360 view of the area. DIY Fall-Inspired Votive Holder

I recently just learned about these trees called Rainbow Eucalyptus Trees. I did’t even know that something like this even existed!

Rainbow Eucalyptus TreeThese Rainbow Trees are the only species of Eucalyptus tree found in the northern hemisphere.

 

paint brush treeThe different colors appear as the bark sheds so, the colors are an indication of the trees age.

Freshly shed bark will turn green. This color darkens over time and changes from blue to purple and then reaches orange and maroon tones.
