I was thinking recently about how we host New Years parties. We invite people over, have festive appetizers, decorate with glitter and stars, and of course we break out the beer. Beer? On New Years? Let’s get a little bit more fancy, shall we? We are ringing in the new year! Since you know that I am not all that festive, I decided to avoid the holiday drink post that you are all going to read and share 3 drinks that I know (ok I don’t know, I assume) you’ve never had that, if you wanted to, you could test out for the party you might be attending. DIY Wire Wrap Christmas Tree Earrings
It doesn’t look like it, but these Christmas tree earrings were actually very easy to make. They would make a nice last-minute gift idea for some of the ladies of your list that you have yet to buy for. Granted, it is a seasonal idea, but you could turn them into ornaments as well, if you made them larger. These are probably about 2 inches tall.
Things You Will Need:
Beads
Pliers
Thick wire
Earring hooks

Monogrammed Gifts That You Will Actually Use
Monograms have really made a comeback in the last year or so. Everyone thinks that, just because that can put some lettered vinyl on almost anything, they should. So many people end up with Christmas or birthday gifts that they will never use, just because their initials are on it. Those initials can be really great, but they shouldn’t be plastered onto everything. Use monograms for good! Put them on gifts that make sense to display them, like casserole carriers, luggage tags, or growlers. Read the whole post
DIY Decorative Christmas Tree
I haven’t done a Christmas tree craft in a long time, and this one was a lot of fun to make. I got all of my materials at Michael’s and it was less than $10. Oh, well, excluding the paint. I had that already. It was also easy to put together and took less than an hour. I hope you like it!
Things You Will Need:
Gems
Paint
Brush
Glue gun
Wooden Tree
Colorful ornaments
Step 1:
Place your wooden tree on some old paper and paint both sides of each section. Read the whole post
DIY Holiday Card
It is amazing what scrapbook paper can do for you, in terms of design. This is one of the easiest Christmas cards that I’ve ever made. Some people don’t like the overt holiday cards with red and green decorations all over them, and I have to agree. I like this one because it reminds me of the holidays but it isn’t an in-your-face design.
Things You Will Need:
Pen
Pencil
Exacto knife
Scrapbook paper
Step 1:
Choose your scrapbook paper and fold it to the size of your desired holiday card. Read the whole post
