As some of you might know, my husband and I are now homeowners, so I’ve been more compelled to decorate. There’s no one to tell me I can’t put holes in my walls or paint them fun colors. Why not, then?
One of my latest projects is this cute farmhouse style home sign. This is a multi-season one. Every spring, fall, winter and summer I can swap out the bow for a different one, making it just as festive as the previous season. Read the whole post
It has been waaaay too long. I apologize for my absence. It’s been an interesting few months, but I’ll spare you the details. I’m getting back into my crafting and I have a schedule ready to go! You’ll be hearing from me a lot more often.
First up, this lovely table top fire bowl. I happen to live in the borough of my neighborhood and the rule is that you can’t have a fire unless it’s contained. Read the whole post
It’s been so long since I’ve posted a Make Something Mondays project. I’m sorry 🙁 I’m really trying to get back into it. This week, my project reflects my busy lifestyle.
I’ve seen cookie jar gifts like these on Pinterest for a few years now and I really like the idea. Rather than baking cookies for someone, you just put the dry ingredients in a Mason Jar and gift it with a little card that includes directions for making the cookies. Read the whole post
A few weeks ago, I was inspired by Emma’s T-shirt Cushion blog post on Puddleside Musings. She turned a t-shirt with a cute sloth into a pillow and I really enjoyed the spunk.
I found an old shirt and set out to make my own. Unfortunately, I’m not into to measuring if I don’t have to and I don’t have a sewing machine so it would take me quite a while longer to make something like that. Read the whole post
I’ve had this couch for nearly a decade and the cushions are super saggy, as you can see in the photo on the left. The structure of the couch is pretty good though, so I wanted to try to find a way to salvage it. There’s no use in spending a few hundred dollars on a new couch when this one just needs some love, right?
Happy Monday! I feel like every time I post now I say it’s been a while. This case is no different. I’m working on getting back to a regular posting schedule. As most of you know, I just moved so it’s been time consuming to get my house it order.
Anyway, along with the move, we donated our old side tables and needed new ones. I thought it would be a fun Make Something Mondays craft to make my own. Read the whole post
My hair has been short for a while so I haven’t been able to get it into a pony tail. I’ve relied heavily on bobby pins to add flare. But bobby pins are so boring, right?
I wanted to spice them up a bit. Add more color or excitement to them and I’ve always been a fan of wire wrapping, so I combined the wire wrapped jewelry design that I’ve always loved with the bobby pins for a neat hair accessory. Read the whole post
Hi. It’s been quite a while, hasn’t it? I feel like I need to re-introduce myself or something. I promise I’m not abandoning Make Something Mondays, but it’s been a crazy 2 months. In short, my husband and I bought a house and moved, along with a bunch of other goodies. It’s taken a while to get packed, moved unpacked etc but, I’m back in action!
I have a great new lineup of craft projects! This week I’m showing you how to make some fun gemstone earrings. Read the whole post
For the first time in a long time, I had a girls day with friends and we made terrariums for Aarika’s birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!). So, of course, I documented that process and made a tutorial for you.
You need a lot of supplies, but if you make more than one terrarium, they get used up quickly. Get a bunch of people together and have a movie/terrarium night or something. Otherwise, you might have supplies for years. Read the whole post
I don’t know about your weather, but it’s pretty cold and snowy here. The cold weather has been a roller coaster this year. One day is -10, the next is 40 degrees. I’m about over that junk.On a more positive note, the snow and ice is absolutely beautiful and I wanted to capture that in another mini painting, this time with a winter theme. The last two were summer and fall.
