Gettysburg , PA

We went to Gettysburg this weekend! Don’t ask me why… We wanted to go somewhere for the weekend and neither of us had been here since we were really young. I didn’t remember it at all actually.

QR Code Pavilion in Russia
via Microsoft Tag

I had every intention of rewording the following paragraph, but there is just no way to say it better. It is perfect. So, I am quoting Elliott Lemenager from Microsoft Tag. Wow, holy QR Codes.

Get ready to have your mind blown with QR Code mania. Russia’s futuristic, QR code pavilion at this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, is a sight to behold. With every nook and cranny covered with giant qr codes, visitors can scan the QR Codes to explore plans and models for Skolkovo, a Russian city dedicated to science and technology that’s currently under development. DIY Nail Polish

Yes, it is possible to make your own nail polish. It isn’t hard and only takes a few minutes.  Most likely, you will already have everything you need.

I rarely use eye shadow. Usually I drop it and break it before I get to use it and thankfully, this is what you are going to use to make your nail polish. For the first attempt I would go to the Dollar Store and buy clear polish in case you don’t get the results you want. Read the whole post

Let It All Out

13 Disturbing Works of Art by Female Artists – via Mental Floss

I am all about expression through art. When I’m angry and I paint… oh boy, nobody wants to get in the way of that. Sometimes I will shut myself in a room for a few days and and draw or paint until I feel better. It is like art therapy, kind of. It works out that way though because I get out all of my frustrations and nobody has to deal with it. Read the whole post

How Many Knots?

Have you ever been to  http://www.fusionknots.com?  It is a pretty cool site. I’m not a knot expert or anything, but this site has a ton of video tutorials on how to tie just about every knot you can think of. Well, at least more than the knots that cross my mind.

This site was created by J.D. Lenzen.  J.D. is the creator of the well known YouTube channel “Tying It All Together”.   He’s been formally recognized by the International Guild of Knot Tyers (IGKT) for his contributions to knotting. Read the whole post
