Phone Box Library?

I’ve been reading about this and I think it is a very interesting idea. In the UK people are turning unused phone boxes into mini libraries. The idea is to take a book you like and leave one in its place but there are no rules. If you google this you will find that this is happening all over the UK and not just a few small towns/villages. I like it!

Creative Birthdays

Yesterday was my birthday. It really made me think about things.

I’ve never really done anything extravagant for my birthday. It is just another day to me. I’m just one year older. When I was little my parents threw parties and bought cakes and all that good stuff, but as I got older I cared less about it. (Don’t get me wrong here, I appreciate all of the “Happy Birthdays”, gifts, drinks, dinners, etc. very much.) Read the whole post

Tuning Out The World

This is so true! It is one of the greatest things to get lost in my sketchbook. I don’t know if I would call it running away though. Maybe just tuning out the world. Everyone does that, right?

Slot Sofa

I found this design on Behance.com. Apparently this thing was design by Matt Pauk.

“Slot is a dynamic furniture piece. The sofa system finds new value and diverse functionality by blending the sofa, coffee table, and ottoman. It utilizes the common constructional gaps found between the cushions of the sofa by converting them into tracks for which the table can slide in and out. When slotted, the table acts as a console. When freed, it acts as a coffee table. Read the whole post

Olympic Design

Since the Olympics is on I figured I would follow the trend for once. I found some pretty old posters for the Olympic Games on webexpedition18 and couldn’t help myself.

These posters range from 1896 to 2012. It is pretty awesome to see how the designs have changed so much. ENJOY!

DIY Beaded Bracelet

20120805-215605.jpg

I’ve definitely gone back to childhood with this one. I used to make “friendship bracelets” all the time. Most of mine were the old fashioned ones made with embroidery thread though. This one is more acceptable. Enjoy.
