Designer Steve Kuhl fulfills every boy’s fantasy with this insanely cool pirate ship bedroom. The six-year-old occupant from Minnesota chose between a space ship, race car, castle, and pirate ship. Most of us would probably agree, he made an excellent decision.The main feature of the room is the incredible floating pirate ship.

THE MAN WHO DREW CATS

Our history lesson for the day… ha.

For those of you who are not familiar with Louis Wain, he was an English artist who was mostly famous for his drawings and paintings of cats in the Victorian era.

Wain’s creations were born of his efforts to amuse his wife as she was dying of breast cancer. He would continuously draw their cat, Peter, in a cartoonish fashion. Over the years the drawings became more playful as they would wear eye glasses, stand upright, and wear contemporary clothes. Read the whole post

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline, originating in ancient India. The goal of yoga, or of the person practicing yoga, is the attainment of a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility while meditating on the Hindu concept of divinity or Brahman.

I started taking yoga about 2 years ago when I moved and joined a new gym that provided classes. I had never tried it before, but what is better for your body than switching up your workouts? Read the whole post

Sweeney at Work

Wow, Richard Sweeney, also known as the Origami Master, is a mind boggling artist. I just found his work a few days ago but I have heard of him before. Amazing paper work! Seriously!

Biography (according to http://www.richardsweeney.co.uk/bio.htm):

Richard Sweeney was born in Huddersfield, England in 1984. He discovered a natural talent for sculpture at Batley School of Art and Design in 2002, which led him to the study of Three Dimensional Design at the Manchester Metropolitan University, where he concentrated on the hands-on manipulation of paper to create design models, which ultimately developed into sculptural pieces in their own right.
