- I am more crafty than I was a year ago– Seriously, I was WAAAAAAY more artsy than crafty. Now I can add another skill to my list.
- You truly have to love what you choose to blog about– I could talk about art for hours, maybe even days, without running out of steam.
I Don’t actually know Javier; he was actually a co-worker of my boyfriend and I’ve heard stories about him. Now Javier is beginning a journey across America and I am going to keep up with him and share his story because he deserves that.
Javier believes in promoting love, tolerance, and awareness of his fellow men and women. In order to show this, he is going to take 196 days to walk across America. Why 196 days? Read the whole post

On Nov. 11, 2012 Max Galuppo and his girlfriend, Nikkie Curtis, were enjoying a day at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. While passing the painting Portrait of a Nobleman with Dueling Gauntlet (unknown artist) Nikkie said “Do you see this painting right now? It looks just like you.”.

These CD portraits were created as part of a campaign against music piracy shown at the very first exhibition of First Floor Under at an underground location in Milan. According to Visual News, the idea is that these musicians were ultimately brought down by internet Piracy.
Artists include: Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, James Brown, Freddie Mercury and Elvis.

Dorothea Lange (1895-1965) is greatest American documentary photographer, in my opinion. She is most well known for her photography from the great depression and the migrant workers. Each of these photographs of pre-WW2.
I am pretty sure this section in my history book (way back when) was the only chapter I actually read start to finish. Her photography is lovely and so subtle. Each picture captures the emotion perfectly. It makes me feel like I am standing right in front of these people. Read the whole post

but who ever said they were? I’m just kidding. My boyfriend is pretty wonderful but he seems to think I spend too much time on my computer and my phone updating my blog, checking email, on social networks, etc. I disagree and think that if I spend too much time on my devices then he spends too much time with his X-box. So, we’ve made an agreement. Starting tonight, he is packing away his Xbox until Saturday morning and I will be avoiding all social networks, games and yes, my blog. Read the whole post

Imagine: How Creativity Works by Jonah Lehrer
This was a very informative book. The author really breaks everything down for you.
Those who are more relaxed and expressive are more productive AND more creative. Did you know that the researchers at 3M (the Post It note company) gets an hour a day (of their workday) to do anything… take a nap, go for a walk, play a game, etc. to help clear their mind and relax.
